President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev was informed about the start of construction of a cultural entertainment center under the EXPO-2017 project, Kazakh president's official website said on Sept.17.
"Nazarbayev met with the head of the Astana Group LLP Nurlan Smagulov, who briefed the head of state about the start of construction of the cultural entertainment center," the website said.
Kazakh president emphasized the uniqueness of buildings to be constructed under the EXPO-2017 project and stressed the importance of their effective use after the exhibition.
Smagulov, for his part, said the center that will cover an area of 140,000 square meters, is designed to be a place of interest in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
It will include the largest children's amusement park in Kazakhstan, a 14-screen multiplex cinema and etc.
It is planned to complete the construction of the center till September 2016.
