Kazakhstan's Pavlodar petrochemical plant will completely restore operation in the second part of November after a fire, KazMunaiGas Processing and Marketing company owning the plant reported on Oct. 28.

"It will take approximately 20-25 days to reach full technological operation and complete all repair work," the company said.

A fire occurred at Pavlodar refinery on Oct.25. The fire hit a process furnace for heating raw materials for catalytic cracking. No one was injured in the incident.

The incident did not affect the total volume of oil refining at the plant. It continues to produce marketable products: gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel TS-1, fuel oil, bitumen, sulfur, coke, according to the company. However, production of light oil products partially reduced and yield of straight-run fuel oil increased.

A special commission was created to reveal the causes of the incident. The results of the investigation will be presented on November 6, 2014.
