The Board of Directors of the Embamunaigas JSC (EMG or Company) has appointed Kurmangazy Iskaziyev as its new General Director, who previously served as the Managing Director for Geology and Chief Geologist at National Company KazMunaiGas, said the press service of the JSC.
The appointment was made as former General Director Makhambet Dosmukhambetov has transferred to another job, said the message.
"Iskaziyev is an experienced manager with an extensive background in operations," said the KazMunaiGas Exploration Production JSC Chief Executive Abat Nurseitov, who also serves as the Chair of the EMG Board of Directors. "His challenge now is to ensure that oil production plans are achieved, that safety and environmental requirements are met, that innovative technology is introduced and that social stability is maintained."
Kurmangazy Iskaziyev started his career in 1985 at Embaneft production association. Between 2004 and 2008 he was a Deputy Director, and subsequently became the Director of Geology and Operations Development Department at KMG EP. After that he held various jobs including Executive Director for Oil and Gas Production, Managing Director for Geology, Geophysics, and Reservoirs; and Chief Geologist at National Company KazMunaiGas. He graduated from Lenin Kazakh Polytechnical Institute, Oil Faculty in 1993. In 2006 he graduated from Tomsk Polytechnical University and was certified Candidate of Geological and Mineral Sciences.
KMG EP is among the top three Kazakh oil and gas producers.
