Japan to introduce transportation innovations in Kazakhstan

Kazakh Investments and Development Ministry and Japanese Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Ministry inked a memorandum of cooperation in introduction of investment and innovation projects in Kazakhstan's transport sector.
Kazakhstan's Ministry of Investments and Development said in a message Oct. 30 that the memorandum was signed during an official visit of Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Kazakhstan.
"The signing of this cooperation memorandum will create a basis for long-term cooperation, will help explore the advanced technologies of Japanese manufacturers developing intelligent transportation systems, and to adapt them to Kazakhstan's conditions and to introduce nationwide," said the ministry.
The message said the memorandum will also help attract foreign investments that are necessary for implementation of innovative projects and development of transport industry in Kazakhstan.
