Freight traffic via pipelines increases in Kazakhstan

Cargo transportation via pipelines increased by 5.1 percent – up to 76.69 million tons in January-April 2016 in Kazakhstan.

Cargo transportation via pipelines increased by 5.1 percent - up to 76.69 million tons in January-April 2016 in Kazakhstan, Kazakh Committee on Statistics said.

In total, during the first four months of 2016, about 1.07 billion tons of cargo was transported by all types of transport in Kazakhstan, which is by 0.5 percent less than in the same period of 2015.

Traffic of cargos and baggage via railway decreased by 5.7 percent - to 100.56 million tons in January-April 2016 in Kazakhstan.

Transportation of goods by motor and urban electric transport decreased by 0.3 percent - to 889.6 million tons. Transportation of goods and baggage by air transport decreased during the reporting period by 5.5 percent - to 4,870 tons. Transportation of goods by maritime transport decreased by 27.5 percent - to 736,590 tons.
