Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in the extended format negotiations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu named agriculture, innovation and advanced technologies, and health as the most promising spheres for bilateral cooperation, Kazakh presidential press service reported.

Netanyahu is on official visit to Astana.

“We have unique conditions for conducting agricultural business, and Israel has advanced technology. Processing of agricultural products, economical irrigation – this is what we want to learn from you,” Nazarbayev said.

He also noted that Israel is a world leader in innovations and advanced technologies, while Kazakhstan is rich in natural resources.

“We will send a special team of experts for preparation of agreements on exchange of primary goods for advanced technologies,” the president said.

In the sphere of healthcare, Nazarbayev offered to bring Israeli organizations to management of some Kazakh clinics.

In the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev and Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the key issues of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as in the field of innovative technologies. The parties also exchanged views on topical matters of the international agenda.

“The big Jewish diaspora in Kazakhstan and the Kazakh community in Israel are a bridge for constructive relations between our nations,” Kazakh president said during the meeting.

Nazarbayev also underlined Kazakhstan’s interest in further development of business relations with Israel, and expressed his hope that Netanyahu’s visit would give a new momentum to bilateral relations.

In turn, Netanyahu said that Israel had succeeded in security and new technologies and offers to use this experience for the benefit of the two nations.
