Baibek made the remark at a meeting with the delegation from Khorasan Razavi province of the Islamic Republic of Iran led by its governor general Alireza Rashidian this week. The sides discussed issues of strengthening trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.

The trade turnover between Almaty and Iran amounted to $17.7 million for 8 months of this year, while 107 enterprises with the participation of Iranian capital operate in the city.

Rashidian stressed a great potential for bilateral cooperation in construction, agriculture, household chemicals, tourism, etc. He also noted that the exhibition of Iranian manufacturers, held in Almaty these days, has become another platform for strengthening partnership.
