President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko discussed a wide range of economic and diplomatic issues during official visit of Kazakh president to Minsk.

Nazarbayev thanked Lukashenko for invitation, noting that his visit coincided with the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the press service of the Kazakh president said in a message.

"Presently, there are 260 Belarus enterprises in Kazakhstan. Belarus agriculture products are also present in our markets. There are shops with Belarus furniture almost in all cities of Kazakhstan," Nazarbayev said.

Kazakh president added that entrepreneurs of the two countries will sign contracts on supply of BelAZ trucks and new equipment to Kazakhstan.

The countries will sign a contract on localization of Belarus products in Kazakh market as well as the construction of joint assembly plants, according to Nazarbayev.

The presidents also touched upon the trade turnover between the countries.

"There were difficult times, crisis, trade turnover between our countries decreased, but for 10 months of the current year it grew by 60 percent," added Nazarbayev.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, in turn, stressed that the visit of the president of Kazakhstan will contribute to development of trade relations between the countries.
