President of Kazakhstan is expected to visit the US in January 2018, said the representative of the US Department of State for South and Central Asia Alice Wells during the meeting of the Strategic Partnership Dialogue between the United States and Kazakhstan.
Wells added that the participants of the dialogue discussed a wide range of topics during the meeting, including how to best resolve conflicts in Afghanistan and Korea.
“The US sees Kazakhstan as a leader not only in Central Asia, but also on the global arena. We look forward to work with Kazakh colleagues in Astana and Washington, as well as to continue to search the ways of making the world safer, on the eve of the beginning of Kazakhstan's chairmanship of the UN Security Council in January. We also look forward to President Nazarbaev's visit to the United States in January,” said Wells.
She added that Kazakhstan has a well-deserved reputation of the country, "which confidently looks to the future”, having organized a great Expo for the world community.
