Baku, Azerbaijan, April 19

By Ali Mustafayev – Trend:

Kazakhstan’s armed forces ranked 50th in the annual Global Firepower Index rating, the press service of GFI said in a message.

In 2017, the country stood at 53-rd place.

The first place in the rating is taken by the United States, the second is the army of Russia, China comes in third.

From the CIS countries, Kazakhstan is below Ukraine (29th place), Uzbekistan (39th place) and Belarus (41st place). The rating includes 136 countries.

The finalized Global Firepower ranking relies on over 5 individual factors to determine a given nation’s Power index score. The GFI’s unique formula allows for smaller, more technologically-advanced nations to compete with larger, lesser-developed ones.
