Kazakhstan plans to start gasoline supplies to Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in autumn, Deputy Chairman of the Board for transportation, processing and marketing of oil national company «KazMunayGas» Daniyar Tiyesov said, Sputnik Tajikistan reported.
"We already have a significant surplus of gasoline of domestic production, and this surplus will increase. Kazakhstan completely covers its current demand for high-octane gasoline. In addition, we have significant opportunities for the export of gasoline," he said.
He noted that, Kazakhstan has transformed from an importer of gasoline to an exporter.
"At the moment, we have already accumulated significant amounts of car fuel, and the issues of introduction of the so-called convention ban on imports from Russia are connected just with these amounts."
Tiyesov said that the country needs to sign the relevant intergovernmental documents with the neighboring countries, which will take some time.
