President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has approved amendments on social security issues, according to which taxes will be reduced for Kazakhstan citizens with an income of less than 60,000 tenge, the press service of the head of state announced.

At the same time, the funds released from such a reduction will be used to increase the salaries of those people. As a result, this will lead to the fact that the salary of more than two million people in the country will increase. It is planned that this rule will be put into effect from January 1, 2019.

Also, the benefits to persons who take care of adults with disabilities of the first group since childhood have been introduced by means of the amendments from July 1, 2018.

Previously, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Kazakhstan Madina Abylkasymova explained that, this will become an extra cash assistance in the amount of about 30,000 tenge per month for 14,000 families. This benefit will be granted for life and will provide quality care for people who need constant assistance.

Earlier, the Parliament adopted amendments, according to which the tax burden of workers, whose income does not exceed 25 times the size of the monthly calculation index (MCI), will be reduced.

The amendments were adopted after Nazarbayev proposed to reduce the tax for Kazakhs receiving a small salary, namely for those who receive wages in the amount of not more than 25 times the size of the MCI per month (60,125 tenge in 2018). The individual income tax will be reduced by ten times for them.
