Kazakhstan’s Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov shared the ministry's plans regarding the commissioning of investment projects, Trend reports referring to Kazinform.

"In general, 380 investment projects are planned to be implemented in the country in five years, including import substitution projects make up more than 65 percent. This list also includes projects to increase the export potential of the agro-industrial complex, including feed yards, reproducers, greenhouses, as well as a number of projects for the processing of crop products," said Omarov at the governmental meeting.

According to him, it’s planned to commission an average of 75 to 80 projects annually.

"This is the minimum that we need to implement. The pool of the ministry’s projects will expand, given the development of plans for the implementation of investment projects with the regional authorities," he concluded.

Earlier, Omarov spoke about the results of 2020 in the field of the agro-industrial complex, saying that 35 industrial dairy farms will be commissioned annually in Kazakhstan. He also added that new apple orchards will appear in a number of regions of the country.
