South Korean technologies to be applied in Kazakhstan's water supply system

Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources is planning to sign a memorandum on cooperation with South Korean K-Water company on application of digital technologies in water supplies, Trend reports citing the ministry.

The topic was discussed during the meeting between the Minister Magzum Mirzagaliyev and South Korean Ambassador in Kazakhstan Koo Hong-seok.

The Memorandum is expected to become the foundation for the Project to apply digitalization and automation technologies behind the processes of drinking water supply at the facilities of the Nurinsky group water supply system.

During the meeting the parties also talked relevant issues of bilateral cooperation in the water sector, forestry, environmental protection, as well as the entry of Kazakhstan into the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), headquartered in South Korea.

Following the meeting, Mirzagaliev and the Ambassador agreed to intensify cooperation in the exchange of experience in the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies, the provision of advisory services and technical support.
