The concept for the development of creative industries will be developed by the government of Kazakhstan, Trend reports referring to the government.
This statement was made during a meeting of the working group on the development of the creative sector of the economy, chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov.
The document, which is planned to be developed by August 1, will include the state's measures to develop creative entrepreneurship, bring creative products to the export markets, train and retrain personnel for creative industries, support talented Kazakh people, manage intellectual property and others.
Dozens of creative businesses have been affected greatly as a result of the restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
"If the state believes in us and supports creative people, then we will be able to increase the export of creative products by at least five times in a few years and make a significant contribution to the development of the country's economy," Chairman of the Board of the Creative Entrepreneurs Association Ernar Kurmashev said.
Summing up the results of the first meeting of the working group, Smailov stressed that the development of the creative economy affects a very wide range of issues and requires well-coordinated work.
In conclusion, Smailov gave a number of specific instructions to ministries and regional bodies of executive power. The creative economy is a special sector of the economy based on creative activity. It includes music, fashion, design, architecture, cinema, IT, media, theater, etc.
Today the creative economy is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy. According to the international experts, the contribution of creative industries to the world GDP exceeded $2.6 trillion (about three percent).
