BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. The visit schedule of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to New York commenced with a business breakfast meeting with the heads of global financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, NASDAQ, Auerbach Grayson & Company LLP, Franklin Templeton, Brightlight Capital, AllianceBernstein, Jefferies Financial Group, Luxor Capital Group, Paine Schwartz Partners LLC, New Silk Road Forum, Robotti & Company Advisors, TPG Capital, Grupo Los Grobo, Trend reports referring to the press service of Akorda (Presidential Palace of Kazakhstan).

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev briefed US financiers on large-scale political and economic reforms in Kazakhstan, explained the significance of relevant reforms in terms of their impact on the financial and economic sector.

“What does it mean for business and financial institutions? This means expanding market access and increasing transparency, and overall new opportunities for the private sector and international partners,” the president emphasized.

Tokayev told the event participants about Kazakhstan's potential to implement joint investment projects in key economic sectors.

In particular, the head of state underscored prospects for cooperation with the 'Samruk-Kazyna' JSC Sovereign Welfare Fund. He pointed out opportunities offered by the privatization of the Fund's assets.

Meanwhile, Tokayev outlined the country's huge capacity in energy, green economy, transport, logistics, and agriculture, as well as noted the conditions created at the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC).

Furthermore, the president added the Government's readiness to provide full support in fulfilling investment projects.
