BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 6. The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Lithuania from January through September 2022, having increased 2.1 times, totaled $500.4 million, Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan said, Trend reports, citing Kazakh media.
The statement was made during a meeting with Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis. Both sides highlighted the potential to foster economic and trade relations between the nations.
Kazakh diplomat added that the increase in bilateral trade was achieved despite the disruption of the established supply chain.
Tleuberdi also said that today, 170 Lithuanian companies operate in Kazakhstan, and dozens of companies represent Kazakhstan in Lithuania, and both sides continue cooperation in several areas including pilot training, production of electronics and medical equipment, and processing of used motor oils.
