BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 14. Kazakhstan aims to improve its infrastructure, Kairbek Uskenbayev, Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, said during the meeting of the government, Trend reports, citing the press service of the Central Communication Service of the President.

Uskenbayev stated that by 2029 Kazakhstan eyes to repair more than 11,000 kilometers of railroad, with 882 kilometers to come under maintenance in 2023 alone. Additionally, by the end of 2029, more than 22,000 kilometers of roads will be reconstructed.

The minister also added that to improve the living standard and condition of the population more than 143,500 households, an equivalent of 15.3 million square meters, will be constructed in 2023.

He added that renovation programs to demolish houses and improve the living conditions of owners have been approved in 17 cities.

Some 375 projects for the construction of engineering and communication infrastructure in housing development are being implemented. It is planned to equip 239,000 land plots, allocated to citizens for individual construction, with communications before 2029.
