ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 10. Chinese SANY Renewable Energy Co Ltd. plans to build factories for the production of wind turbine blades on the territory of Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
This was stated during the visit of Kazakhstan's Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Marat Karabayev, to the Nankou industrial zone of SANY Renewable Energy Co Ltd. during his trip to China.
In particular, the minister visited a plant for the production of gondolas for wind turbines.
During the visit, the sides reached an agreement on collaboration for the construction of factories specializing in the production of wind turbine blades, towers, and components within the territory of Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development will provide support for research on Kazakhstan's raw materials for the manufacturing of renewable energy components. Additionally, opportunities for localizing the production of special machinery in Kazakhstan were discussed.
In May of this year, during the visit of Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Xi'an, SANY Renewable Energy Co Ltd, as well as the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund, China Power International Holding signed a quadrilateral memorandum on the construction of a 1GW wind power plant in Kazakhstan's Zhambyl region, as well as the establishment of factories for the production of gondolas, towers and blades.
