KazTransOil reveals volume of Russian oil transit to Uzbekistan for 9M2023

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 13. KazTransOil JSC (an oil pipeline company of the Republic of Kazakhstan that provides services for transporting oil to the domestic market, for transit purposes, and for export) has transported 31,100 tons of Russian oil through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan along the route "Omsk - Pavlodar - Shymkent - Shagyr oil loading rack" (loading into railway tank cars) in the 3rd quarter of 2023, the company told Trend reports.

In the 1st quarter of 2023, 10,700 tons of Russian oil were transited to the Republic of Uzbekistan through the main oil pipeline system of KazTransOil, and 37,900 tons in the 2nd quarter of 2023.

In October, the transit volume of Russian oil through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan will be 25,000 tons.

KazTransOil transports Russian oil through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with the oil delivery schedule approved by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Pumping of Russian oil to the Republic of Uzbekistan through the main oil pipeline system of KazTransOil JSC was started in 2017. The transit volume in 2017 amounted to 67,900 tons; in 2018, it was 36,000 tons. From 2019 through 2022, there was no transit of Russian oil through the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Since February 1, 2023, KazTransOil JSC has increased the tariff for Russian-origin oil transportation through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan from $25.12 to $27.9 per ton (excluding VAT).

On October 7, Russia launched gas exports to Uzbekistan via the Central Asia-Center gas pipeline, passing through the territory of Kazakhstan.
