ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 27. Today, the readiness of combined heat and power plant №3 (CHPP-3) for launch in Astana reaches 95 percent, Trend reports.
This was announced during the visit of the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Almassadam Satkaliyev to the energy facility.
In October, the phased launch of the first stage of CHPP-3 in Astana began, which will last until December 20.
A meeting of the operational headquarters was also held to prepare the city for the winter period, during which the heads of the city’s energy facilities and representatives of executive authority made presentations.
As part of the general construction work at the CHPP, finishing work in some buildings, work on utility networks, the installation of fencing with utility infrastructure, and work on railway exhaust are being completed.
As noted, the phased launch of all four boilers will provide the capital with a capacity increase of 440 Gcal/h.
Today, the project employs 687 people and 25 units of specialized equipment.
As previously stated by the head of the executive power of Astana, Zhenis Kasymbek, the construction of CHPP-3 will be completed by the end of the year.
