(Kazakhstan today) - Kazakhstan needs to overcome its isolation from the developed part of the world community. Karim Massimov, Vice Premier - Minister of Economy and Budget Planning, has stated this today, May 31, speaking at the Eurasian forum of development institutions, Kazakhstan Today correspondent reports.

"Only full integration of Kazakhstan into the global systems of commercial, information, and intellectual exchange will become the main and most efficient catalyst of the socioeconomic modernisation of the republic, its institutional milieu included," - Mr. Massimov has said, reports Trend.

He has also stressed that the key priority for the government in this area is the accession of Kazakhstan to the WTO. "The accession to the WTO will promote not only improvement of trade conditions in the republic, but generally promote a growth of competitiveness of the economy at the expense of the investment climate improvement, creation of a space for equal opportunities for companies and entrepreneurs, development of competition," - Mr. Massmov believes.
