Kazakhstan stated its view on "Iranian nuclear issue"

(Kazinform) - Kazakhstan maintains clear position on so-called "Iranian nuclear issue", which has become one of the leading ones in mass media of the world. That has been voiced on Tuesday by Kazakh Foreign Minister Kassymzhomart Tokayev, who is staying on an official visit in Iran, reports Trend.

Upon completion of the negotiations with the head of Foreign Minister of Iran Manuchehr Mottaki Mr Tokayev noted at the briefing that "Iran as any sovereign state has a right to conduct peaceful research in sphere of nuclear energy. Such activities are to be held transparently for the world community".

We do hope the delegation of the European Union being these days in Iran will successfully carry out its work. I have been informed by Mr Mottaki of ongoing talks which started June 6 and are continued on Wednesday. In any case and under any circumstances Kazakhstan stands for all the problems to be solved peacefully, emphasized Kassymzhomart Tokayev.

As Kazakh Foreign Minister said, position of Kazakhstan is expressed in the letter of Nursultan Nazarbayev to the President of Iran M. Ahmadinejad.
