High speed of economy growth to double by 2008 - President of RK

(Kazakhstan today) - The high speed of economy growth allows Kazakhstan to plan its doubling by 2008 against 2000. Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, has stated this speaking at the 3rd investment summit, Kazakhstan Today correspondent reports.

"Today our country is characterised as one of the most dynamically developing countries of the world. Kazakhstan has become the most attractive state in the region for investments. According to international experts, more than 80% of all foreign investments flowing into Central Asia, are in Kazakhstan," - the head of state has stressed, reports Trend.

"Kazakhstan continues to remain a Central Asian leader in the attraction of foreign investments per had, and it is the first country in CIS that has received an Investment Grade Rating," - Mr. Nazarbayev has reminded.

"It is a widespread belief in the world that the oil & gas sector is the main factor attracting investments into Kazakhstan. Although today in our budget the incomes do not exceed 25%," - he has said. Today, according to Mr. Nazarbayev, the main part of the Kazakhstani incomes comes from "mining, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, ferrochrome production with supplies to the world market. This area is strongly developing."
