(KAZINFORM) - An issue on construction of Dostyk hydraulic power system on the trans-border River Khorgos has been debated at the regular session of the working experts of Sino-Kazakh joint commission on use and protection of trans-border rivers, our correspondent reports referring to Chinas Water Resources Ministry, reports Trend.
The joint commission consisted of senior officials and specialists of water resources committee of Kazakhstan Agriculture Ministry and Chinas Water Resources Ministry. The parties inserted certain amendments to project feasibility study and highlighted necessary completion of domestic procedures by the year-end and beginning of construction in 2007.
The experts outlined new goals for further cooperation and decided to exchange hydrological and hydro chemical data of frontier water stations on Irtysh and Tekes.
