Draft law on culture returned to Majilis

(KAZINFORM) - Today draft law on culture has been considered by Senate of Kazakh Parliament at its plenary sitting.

This document is directed to formation of a single cultural space in the republic. The senators made number of amendments into it. In particular, they established minimal state standards of cultural service for population, introduced some provisions on development of infrastructure and enhancement of material and technical basis of public cultural organizations, reports Trend.

Culture and Information Minister of Kazakhstan Y. Yertysbayev emphasized that the Senate members expanded the draft law to some extent and elaborated measures on promotion of culture and leisure organizations. Besides, the senators paid special attention to support of rural organizations of culture.

Following the talks the senators decided to send their proposals to Majilis (lower chamber of Kazakh Parliament).
