Kazakhstan Majilis deputy, NATO representative held talks

(Kazinform) - Today deputy of the Majilis of Kazakhstan Parliament Tokhtarkhan Nurakhmetov has met with the NATO special representative Robert Simmons.

We are waiting for positive help in war on terrorism, extremism, illicit migration and fight against drug trafficking from the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Nurakhmetov aired, reports Trend.

Kazakhstan pursues multi-vector policy and Kazakhstans membership in SCO, CSTO never encumbers development of cooperation with NATO, he went on.

Simmons, in his turn, informed his visit to Kazakhstan is associated with summarizing Individual Partnership Action Plan, signed this January. Issues on rendering NATO assistance to Kazakhstan in border security, creation of structures, contributing to interoperability of NATO and Kazakhstan military departments, will be settled within its framework.
