Uzbekistan plans increasing volumes of oil purchase in Kazakhstan

(KAZINFORM) - The leading oil and gas company of Uzbekistan Uzbekneftegaz (national holding company) plans this year to increase substantially volumes of oil imports from Kazakhstan, our correspondent reports.

Volumes of import may soar up to 450 000 tons of oil, one of its officials said. Thus the growth will make 50% against 2005. Kazakhstan's oil is imported from Kumkol deposit since 2005. One of its main consumers is Fergana refinery, reports Trend.

Uzbekneftegaz decreased extracting oil and gas raw materials to 5.449 mln tons by 17.2% comparing to 2004. Natural gas production declined as well to 59.686 bln cu m.

In the year of 2005 Uzbekneftegaz exported products up to USD 770 mln.
