Kazakhstan, Croatia vitalize trade and economic cooperation - N. Nazarbayev

(Kazinform) - Today during the talks held Presidents of Kazakhstan and Croatia have agreed to vitalize trade and economic collaboration in oil and gas, construction industries, tourism, and agriculture.

Kazakhstan companies are interested in taking part in Croatian investment projects, Kazakhstan Leader Nursultan Nazarbayev told a briefing. We will be glad to see Croatian businessmen in Kazakhstan, he added, reports Trend.

It is essential to boost intergovernmental and interparliamentary cooperation too, Nursultan Nazarbayev said. Relationship between the states is notable for dynamics and constructiveness at large.

Kazinform Note: main trends for bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Croatia are processing, food, pharmaceutical industries, transport and construction, agriculture, tourism, participation in development and exploitation of oil and gas fields.

In 2005 turnover between states made USD 26.36 mln (including export up to USD 21.57 mln, import totaling USD 4.79mln), in 2004 sales reached USD 110.1 mln.

Kazakhstan numbers 6 enterprises with the participation of Croatian capital to date.

Following the results of Kazakhstan Presidents visit to Croatia in 2001 was outlined an issue on possible Kazakhstans participation in integration project of Druzhba and Adria pipelines with an access to Omishal port.

At present oil is piped via Druzhba pipeline passing trough Belarusia, Ukraine and Hungary to the Croatian refinery in Sisak city.
