Kazakh Labor Ministry to improve system of foreign workers attraction

(Kazinform) - Number of labor immigrants having arrived in Kazakhstan from the beginning of 2006 within the framework of a quota made more than 30 thousand people, Chief of the department of labor migration monitoring of Kazakh Labor and Social Protection Ministry has stated today at the seminar on migration issues in Astana city. According to the Ministry, previous year this index equaled 24 700 people. Necessity to attract foreign hands is caused by the absence of qualified specialists in some spheres. Currently the Ministry is working on improvement of involvement of foreign employers to Kazakhstan, reports Trend.

At the same time number of Kazakhstani citizens going abroad with the purpose to find a job is decreasing. Previous years about 2 000 people left Kazakhstan for South Korea or Russia annually. Currently only about 500 Kazakh employers go abroad in this context.
