Kazakhstan concludes talks with Bulgaria on accession to WTO

(Kazakhstan today) - Kazakhstan has completed bilateral talks with Bulgaria on accession to the WTO, Kazakhstan Today reports citing official media.

"The process has been concluded and it satisfies Kazakhstan in the first place," - Danial Akhmetov, Prime Minister of RK, currently on working visit to Sophia said when the protocol on changes in the intergovernmental agreement on mutual promotion and protection of investments had been inked, reports Trend.

The negotiating process with Bulgaria proceeded for three years. Initially the range of the issues concerned 2,700 commodities, then in the course of consultations and mutual agreements it was reduced to 336. Main issues related with customs policies were discussed Sunday.

The protocol was inked by Zhanar Aitzhanova, Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce, special representative at talks on WTO accession, from the Kazakhstani side and Rumen Ovcharov, Minister of Economy and Energy, from the Bulgarian side.
