(Kazinform) - An international scientific conference, scheduled on September 7-8 in West Kazakhstan oblast, will be devoted to discussing controversial issues on water supply of Kazakhstan, Russia and China.
It will be initiated by the international anti-nuclear movement Nevada-Semipalatinsk, charitable fund Poligon-August 29 and West Kazakhstan oblast akimat, an academic secretary of anti-nuclear movement Lyudmila Pruss said, reports Trend.
Those attending will be the scientists and leading specialists of Austria, Germany, Great Britain, India, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, etc. The participants will deliberate upon questions on River Irtysh ecological protection, near-border states water delivery, problems of rational use of the Eurasian water resources and the ways of their settlement.
It will end with drafting specific proposals which will be submitted to the governments of the mentioned states.
