(gazeta.kz) - Britain started yesterday, November 21, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, stated Monday, November 20, at a traditional briefing in Astana, reports Trend.
"Bilateral talks between the head of state and Queen Elizabeth II and Prime Minister Tony Blaire will take place during the visit," - the MFA spokesperson said.
According to Mr. Ashikbayev during the talks "partnership in international security, regional co-operation in Central Asia and the Caspian region, provision of energy security, political interaction, assistance to processes of diversification of the Kazakhstani economy, continuation of democratic reforms and development of the civil society institutions" will be discussed.
"The economic component holds a prevailing place in the content of the visit. The business part of the visit programme includes visits to the London Stock Exchange and the London Metal Exchange, presentation of the state holding "Samruk", "Kazyna" Fund and the Regional Financial Centre in Almaty," - the diplomat said.
According to the MFA spokesperson, the talks will result in signing a number of bilateral documents.
