Kazakhstan announced the reason of the resignation of the Government. The Press Secretary of the Kazakh Government, Sergey Kuyanov, informed Trend Sp-ecial Correspondent in Astana that the Prime Minister Danial Ahmadov himself wrote the appeal on resignation to the State Head, Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The reason is trite: the person has been tired. He has worked as Prime Minister for three years. No-one of his predecessors has worked in this post for such a period вЂ" three years. It is not a short time, he said.
In accordance with the legislation, the head of state appoints the new Prime Minister with the consent of the Parliament and the joint meeting of the Houses of the parliament has been scheduled for 10 January.
The Press-Service of the Government stated that Ahmadov said that the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, has accepted his resignation.
52-year old Ahmatov has headed the Government of Kazakhstan since summer 2003. Previously he was akim (head of the administration) of Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan Regions.
According to several data, the candidature of Karim Masimov is offered for the post of the Prime Minister. 41-year old Masimov held the post of Vice Primer and was responsible for the strategic directions of the development of the economy.
Earlier, Masimov headed the commercial Popular Bank of the republic, was the assistant of the State Head, Minister of Transport and Communications, Vice Primer and the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning.
