At least 57 new schools built in Kyrgyzstan in 2008
At least 57 new schools were built in Kyrgyzstan in 2008, the Kyrgyz Education and Science Minister Abdylda Musaev said at the session of Education, Science, Culture and Information Policy committee in Bishkek, Tuesday.
The schools are attended by 13,000 students. The ministry reportedly spent 133 million soms for new schools' construction, when 133 million soms spent for repair of 2,188 schools, whereof 362 underwent capital repair, rpeorted 24.kg.
Some schools still have a need of new furniture, such as teachers' and students' desks, chairs, closets and blackboards. The total amount of the furniture purchase for Kyrgyzstan's schools makes up to 130 million soms.
