U.S. congressman visits Kyrgyzstan

Eni Faleomavaega a member of the United States Congress has arrived in Bishkek, press service of the U.S. Embassy in Bishkek informs, "24.kg" reported.

Eni Faleomavaega is a chairman of the Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, and the Global Environment and member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the House Committee on Natural Resources. While in Kyrgyzstan the congressman is going to meet with the leadership of the country to discuss a range of important issues and visit the U.S. airbase Manas.

The Foreign Affairs' Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific and the Global Environment has broad oversight and jurisdiction over U.S. foreign policies affecting Australia, China, East Timor, Fiji, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other states.
