Kyrgyz rank among top ten of which nationalities Russians eagerly marry, Russian information sources reported with a reference to the Justice Ministry, news agency "24.kg" reported.
In 2007 there were about 68,499 international marriages registered in Russia, while in 2008 - 60,627 and 29,317 - in the first half of 2009. Most often the Russians marry citizens from the post-Soviet countries with Ukraine on the first place, followed by Armenia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
According to the statistics, the Russians seem to lose interest to citizens of Georgia and the Baltic states which now drag behind the Germans, Turks, Israelis, Britons, Chinese and the Americans.
