"Why does Kyrgyz President Roza Otunbayeva not wish to hear the voice of her people?" questioned one of the participants of the press conference, member of the committee of the youth movement "People of Kyrgyzstan against bringing external forces" Mavlyan Askarbekov, 24.kg reported.
According to him, he personally and his colleagues on movement do not understand the attitude of the President of transition period. "Authoritative local officials, such as Mayor of Osh city Melis Myrzakmatov, leaders of many political parties and ordinary people are against bringing policemen. However Roza Otunbayeva, by all appearances, does not intend to reconsider her decision. We ask, why?" questions Mavlyan Askarbekov.
Another participant of the briefing, representative of the movement Ulan Soodanbekov underlined that the organization does not pursue any political objectives. "35 youth movements support us. We fight for territorial integrity and safety of national interests. We handed over a corresponding address to Roza Otunbayeva and representative of the OSCE mission in Bishkek Vladimir Tkachenko during our protest rally against bringing police organizations. We demanded that the President of transition period renounces the idea within three days. However there has been no reaction to our request," he said.
Ulan Soodanbekov emphasized that nobody sponsors their movement and they are not included in any political party of Kyrgyzstan.
