The Kyrgyz interim government has denied reports about a state of emergency in Bishkek, RIA Novosti reported.
"The state of emergency in Bishkek has not been announced," head of the information-coordination center of the interim government Farid Niyazov said.
He confirmed that a large convoy with supporters of former presidential candidate Urmat Baryktobasov moves to Bishkek. According to some reports, a convoy consists of more than 200 vehicles, including buses and minibuses.
Head of Bishkek's Interior Department Zarylbek Rysalieyv told the agency 24.kg about a state of emergency in Bishkek.
