"Family of ex-president Kurmanbek Bakiyev is accessorial to the kurultay of Urmat Baryktabasov," head of the State National Security Service (GSNB) of the Kyrgyz Republic Keneshbek Dushebaev stated at the press-conference held yesternight, 24.kg reported
Mr. Dushebaev said that Urmat Baryktabasov's backers were withdrawn 8 guns, one grenade and over 200 bullets. "27 people are detained. It is known already that riots were financed through channels of ex-president. We are conducting a search in the office of Urmat Baryktabasov. We have already withdrawn financial documents confirming money distribution throughout the country," Keneshbek Dushebaev said.
According to Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic Baytemir Ibraev they have initiated criminal cases. "The extradition of Urmat Baryktabasov to Kazakhstan will be considered in the near future. The point is that he is a citizen both Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. So, some additional questions can open. Besides, according to the law Kazakhstan can officially request extradition only after detention of the requested person," Baytemir Ibraev said.
"The situation is under control. Kyrgyzstanis don't have any reasons for worries. Now we are preparing for elections. The date will be announced in accordance with the law," the interim president Roza Otunbaeva added.
