In Bishkek, near the parliament building supporters of the leader of the Communist Party Iskhak Masaliev organized a rally. Protesters demand reconsideration of the sentence for ex-member of Zhogorku Kenesh and release him from house arrest, news agency "24.kg" reported.

Reportedly, some 100 people came to the square to support Iskhak Masaliev. They brought placards: "Down with the lawlessness", "Free I. Masaliev". "We want to see the President of transition period Roza Otunbayeva. A month ago, delegates from our party met with her and she promised to help. However, nothing's the matter," Bekbolotov Ibragimov, one of the rally participants, complained.

He stated that if within the next month the prosecution would not withdraw all charges and shut falsified case against him, his supporters will hold protests across the country.

"We are not going to take any provocative actions. However, we will not allow destabilization of the situation. I must say that we do not call on the seizure of power or other unconstitutional actions," he concluded.
