"The Kyrgyz police requires help from Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe," Roza Otunbayeva, President on transition period, said today at a meeting with activists of Chui region, news agency "24.kg" reported.
According to her, people got quite inadequate opinion concerning the OSCE presence in Kyrgyzstan. "However, they are going to help us. The purpose of 52 unarmed professionals is to monitor and consult law enforcement authorities of the republic," she said.
"We will also help police to build housing. They work for 4 months without repose. They need the state support. Otherwise, who will defend us?" she asks.
