198 criminal cases on the facts of economic and official crimes are opened against Kurmanbek Bakiyev's milieu, Sumar Nasiza, official of Prosecutor General's Office, stated at the press-conference today, news agency "24.kg" reported.
He said that 30 criminal cases are referred to the court while another 13 cases will be taken to the court in the near future. "55 criminal cases are under examination and 86 citizens are made criminally liable. Two accused are put in prison, 6 defendants are under home arrest, 2 people are let out on bail and two other are stood surety, 28 people are released under written undertaking not to leave the place," said Mr. Nasiza.
"Besides, 46 people are wanted, 19 criminal cases are closed and 94 are suspended. The total amount of the damage caused to the government is over 6 million KGS and $130 million. The damage is compensated to the amount of over 360 million KGS and $19.6 million," he noted.
