The Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization stipulates that a decision regarding non-use of CSTO peacekeeping force in Kyrgyzstan during tragic events was taken unanimously at the level of Heads of States. Besides, the Belarusian side did not make any special statement in the negotiation and adoption of this decision, according to the press service of the CSTO Secretariat, news agency "24.kg" reported.

Note that this statement followed immediately upon publication in the Russian newspaper Nezavisimaya Gazeta an article, which alleged that in the summer of 2010, Belarus has blocked the decision to provide military assistance to Kyrgyzstan.

The newspaper also accuses Belarus stating that the country remained aloof from the real participation in the working out of action with a similar conflict. "This conclusion is based on the grounds that Belarus sends to the CSTO "Cooperation-2010", which will be held in Chelyabinsk region of Russia on 25-28 October, not paratroopers but a task force of four or five officers," Nezavisimaya Gazeta writes.

"The decision about the format of its participation in the current joint exercises of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO in "Chebarkul" range assumed by the Republic of Belarus in 2009, during the development of the plan of joint activities of the CSTO in 2010, and is not a reaction on recent events," note the press service of the CSTO Secretariat.
