Kyrgyz intelligence agencies fires 50 employees for discrediting the commission

50 employees have been dismissed from the intelligence agencies of Kyrgyzstan after the April events for discrediting the rank of officer, the State National Security Service (GSNB) informs, following the results of its activity over 9 months of 2010.

50 employees have been dismissed from the intelligence agencies of Kyrgyzstan after the April events for discrediting the rank of officer, the State National Security Service (GSNB) informs, following the results of its activity over 9 months of 2010, news agency "24.kg" reported.

According to them, "the analysis of the geopolitical situation in the region lately and the assessment of modern challenges and threats to national security showed the necessity of serious organizational and staff changes." Among other reforms of the intelligence agencies of the country, we remind, are inclusion of the Frontier Troops that earlier worked as a separate structure, reorganization of the State Protection Service, which has been liquidated and employees of the 9th main department of the GSNB are fulfilling its functions.

In total, "with consideration of the given factors the intelligence agencies have additionally received more than 150 spaces."

Also a main personnel department, an expert-criminalistic department, an economic counterintelligence department and a research center have been formed in the GSNB.

Since April, for various reasons, more than 50 employees of the intelligence agencies of different levels have been dismissed for discrediting the high commission and according to incompetency. Over the same period of time, the GSNB has made more than 1,500 staff appointments, conducted more than 60 official investigations on the facts of offences of the law, as a result of which seven officers were dismissed and more than 50 employees received punishment as a disciplinary measure.
