Kyrgyz official: Government has to stop creating shadow fuel supply schemes to Manas

Head of the profile committee of the Kyrgyz Parliament called government to stop creating new shadow fuel supply schemes to the Manas Transit Center, as Akylbek Zhaparov said at today's session of parliamentary Committee on Budget and Finance, 24.kg reported.

According to him, it is unclear why the government, knowing that there is Manas Refueling Complex CJSC, which is the successor of Aalam Services, creates an identical state-owned enterprise. "Why do you do it? Can't you create an entirely new venture, forgoing various dubious companies?" questioned Akylbek Zhaparov.

The head of the committee noted that it was necessary to stop creating some strange schemes around the fuel supplies to Manas Transit Center. "We offered a simple scheme: charge $100 fee for each delivered fuel ton, but government does not want to use simple variant and tries to pass its bill," added Akylbek Zhaparov.
