To stabilize the situation in Kyrgyzstan, the results of presidential elections should be accepted by the people, UN Secretary-General's special representative Miroslav Yenca said, KirTAG reported.
"I think it's very important to ensure the transparency of elections in Kyrgyzstan so that election results would be accepted by people, and also these elections would help stabilize the country," Jenca said after a meeting with Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Yerzhan Kazykhanov on Wednesday.
According to Yenca, Kyrgyzstan has full potential to organize such elections. "The UN with its projects and programs helps Kyrgyzstan overcome the difficulties on this path. We are working intensively to ensure that the elections would be open and democratic," said Yenca.
