Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 14 / Trend , K.Zarbaliyeva /

Russia will be a decisive force in the development of Kyrgyzstan, Alexei Vlasov, a member of the Trend Council of Experts and the chief editor of the Caucasus Bulletin news and analytical agency, said today.

"Kyrgyzstan will not avoid a multi-vector policy. But, the Kyrgyz citizens see the country's future in closer integration with Russia after joining the Customs Union and Single Economic Space," he was quoted as saying by KirTAG. " I doubt that Almazbek Atambayev will sever ties with other states and work only with Russia. But perhaps Russia will become a decisive force in the development of Kyrgyzstan."

He said development within the union is benefit for both countries. Russia is interested in Kyrgyzstan as the country occupies an important geopolitical point.

"We need to build long-term strategic objectives for the period, with the expectation of 10-15 years," Mr. Vlasov said.
