Kyrgyzstan launches lawsuit filed on radioactive carbon supplies from Kazakhstan

A lawsuit has been filed in Kyrgyzstan on the radioactive coal supply from Kazakhstan, 24.kg reported referring to the Prosecutor General's Office.

"The testing revealed that the coal with radiation level exceeding the allowed standard by 3-4 times can lead to negative consequences. This coal is not suitable for use, thus preparation for heating season 2011-2012 is frustrated and the government suffered damage in the amount of 1.185 million 300 soms (1 som = $0.0219 )," the official statement said.

Kyrgyz company Impex C A supplied 340.8 tons of coal of the Kulanskiy field in Kazakhstan to educational institutions in the Chui region on Sep. 26.

The coal was imported following a fictitious conclusion made by employees of the Center of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of Kyrgyz city of Tokmak.

The lawsuit was filed on the Impex C A head and two doctors of the Centre of Sanitary Surveillance.
