Kyrgyzstan parliament speaker resigns

Kyrgyz Parliament Speaker Ahmatbek Keldibekov resigned on Monday, KirTAG reported.
Keldibekov requested to accept his resignation from December 14 at a special session of the Parliament.
"In connection with the collapse of the coalition and in order to maintain stability, I resign from December 14, 2011", said the Speaker.
Keldibekov stressed that his decision was dictated by his desire to maintain stability in the parliament, and not by recognition of guilt.
On Monday, at an extraordinary session of the Kyrgyzstan Parliament, MPs considered censuring the parliament speaker.
